Naugatuck Valley Medical Scholarship Fund
The Naugatuck Valley Medical Scholarship is a scholarship for graduating high school students planning to study medicine or biomedicine. The Naugatuck Valley Medical Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students in Connecticut’s lower Naugatuck Valley, which includes the municipalities of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Shelton, Oxford, and Beacon Falls. Applicants must undertake a medically-oriented or medical science-oriented program at an accredited institution of higher learning to be eligible for a scholarship.
Naugatuck Valley Medical Scholarship Fund Eligibility/Requirement
- The applicant must be a high school graduate student.
- The applicant must be planning to pursue a major in a medical or biomedical field.
- The applicant must be in the lower Naugatuck Valley area of Connecticut with towns such as Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Shelton, Oxford, and Beacon Falls.
- The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- The applicant must have a score of 600 in writing, reading, and mathematics for SAT.
- The applicant must have a score of 26 in English, Math, Science, and Reading for the ACT.
- The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education.
- Applicant must be a College freshman, College senior, College junior, or College sophomore.
- Applicant must be majoring in medicine
- The application must be submitted before the deadline of April 4, 2023.
