National Eagle Scout Association STEM Scholarship

National Eagle Scout Association STEM Scholarship is offered for Eagle Scouts majoring in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who plan to attend college in the year they apply for the award. The scholarship is are awarded to Eagle Scouts who have shown active participation in school, Scouting activities, and community service, and who demonstrate they understand the fundamentals of service to the community, service to Scouting and their character. Applicants must be current National Eagle Scout Association members at the time of application and for the duration of the scholarship program. Students attending any of the U.S. military schools are not eligible for the scholarships since the United States government already covers the costs of attendance at these academies. The scholarship program awards recipients, $50,000 annually which is non-renewable. Additionally, this sum may change yearly based on the money available. As long as the beneficiary continues full-time attendance, these monies may be used for tuition, housing & board, and books. This scholarship will receive a total payout of $200,000. The number of awards offered varies annually depending on the funds available. Two recipients are selected from each NST for a one-year $5,000 scholarship and One recipient is selected from each NST for a one-year $3,500 scholarship. Recipients may receive a NESA scholarship one time only.

  • You must be a NESA member to apply
  • Four-year Cook Scholars must be enrolled as full-time students (minimum of 12 credit hours) at an accredited four-year college or university and enrolled in a program leading to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Students attending any of the U.S. military academies are not eligible
  • Graduate students pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree are not eligible to apply.

  • Complete your application with the correct information via the website https://www.grantrequest.com/Login.aspx
  • Submit school transcripts and reports
  • Submit the application before the deadline
  • The Eagle Board of Review Date is January 24, 2023.

     

  • Application Portal Open on December 1, 2022, through January 31, 2023.

     

  • Application Must be Completed and Submitted By 11:59 p.m. CST on January 31, 2023.
  • The announcement of the Scholarship Awards is on June 9, 2023.
