General Regis Nursing College Application Requirements
  • For high school graduates, a cumulative grade point average of B (85%) in a college prep program is desired.
  • If you obtained your General Equivalency Diploma (GED) after 2002, you must have a minimum score of 45 in each of the five exam categories. If you obtained your GED before 2002, you must have a minimum score of 450 on the math and science components.
  • Homeschoolers are required to provide a letter from their district’s superintendent of schools.
  • Instruction for the entire program is given in English.
  • Those who applied must have finished their secondary and/or post-secondary education outside of the United States.
  • Please provide proof that they have recently—within the previous two years—passed an authorized English proficiency exam. The following tests and scores are acceptable for use:
  • With a minimum TOEFL score of 220 and/or an essay score of at least 4.0 on the computerized TOEFL, an 83 on the TOEFL administered online, or a 560 on the paper-based TOEFL.
  • IELTS, with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the modules
  • A minimum score of 55 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) and no individual score lower than 50
  • CELBAN, the Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses, requires a minimum Speaking CBL 9 score.
  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum score of 55 and no individual score below 50
  • Canadian English Language Benchmark Assessment for Nurses (CELBAN) with a minimum score of Speaking CBL 9 Reading CLB 8 and Writing CLB 7.
  • Have an in-person interview with the Admissions Coordinator
  • Applicants with previous college education must meet the Program’s admission requirements and should have earned at least a 2.75 cumulative average in post-secondary school.

 

Regis Nursing College Application Process
  • The admissions coordinator must receive a full application packet and the application fee.
  • The applicant’s credentials will be assessed upon receipt of the application, application fee, essay, all official transcripts, the results of the TEAS exam, the employment listing (resume), and the references.
  • Candidates who satisfy the standards for admission may be asked to participate in a personal interview.
  • The final say on whether a student will be admitted to the program belongs to the Admission and Progression Committee. The acceptance decision is communicated to applicants by mail.
