For the spring semester of 2023, International House Berkeley is now accepting applications from exceptional students for room and board.
The I-House Scholarship program is intended to give UC Berkeley students the opportunity to experience, firsthand, cultures from around the world while providing international students with an opportunity to learn about the ethnic and economic diversity in the United States. International House, a unique intercultural leadership development and living experience, is the ideal location. I-House can accommodate 1,100 students annually from 75+ different countries who want to study for a standard 12 months. Deserving students may be given partial room and board scholarships in order to stay in the International House thanks to the generosity of many generous alumni and friends. International students at the University of California are eligible to apply for room and board grants for undergraduate programs beginning in 2023. International students can take advantage of the I-House Scholarship program’s opportunity to see cultures from all over the world up close and personal while also learning about the racial and economic diversity of the United States as I-House residents.

• Applicant must be A full-time, upper-division (graduate junior or senior) or graduate student
• Applicant must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UC Berkeley.
• Applicant must Demonstrate financial need.
• UC Berkeley students with enough units to qualify as sophomore level may apply for housing and financial aid.
• Completion and submission of all steps of the application, including supporting documents, are required.
• Applicant must confirm room reservation for the semester/academic year for which you are applying
• Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Fill in and submit the Financial Aid Application Registration Form
• Download the Student Budget Form (PDF file) (PDF file) to your computer and rename it with your last, and the first name, then fill in the required fields within the document.
• Send all of the following documents via one email to the scholarship team at ihousefinancialaid@berkeley.edu
• Personal Statement of 500 words or less, along with a 150-word summary of key points for the committee in one text or Word document, saved by your last, first name;

• Unofficial transcript showing your GPA;

• For U.S. or Permanent Residents, include your FAFSA form.
