Clarkson College Admissions Requirements
  • Minimum cumulative college 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale for prerequisite coursework:
    • College Mathematics
    • Pharmacology
    • Microbiology
    • Anatomy
    • Physiology
    • Pathophysiology
    • Chemistry
    • Physical Assessment
  • Provide proof of an current, unencumbered RN license (and APRN license, if applicable) in the United States, its territories or protectorates. License must be effective in the state where clinical practicum or residency experiences will occur.
  • Applicant must have achieved or be actively involved in the process of achieving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program. BSN must be completed by start of term.
  • Complete at least one year of recent full-time or part-time equivalent critical care experience (post-ADN or post-BSN) as an RN prior to application to the program. Experience must be within the United States, its territories, or a US military hospital outside of the United States. Acceptable critical care experience includes ICU, CCU, MICU, NICU, PICU or SICU or any critical care experience where candidates demonstrate competence managing unstable patients, invasive monitors, ventilators, and critical care pharmacology.

Clarkson College Scholarship Opportunities

 

Each year, students who exhibit attributes including high academic success, leadership activity, and financial need are given scholarships through tuition assistance programs. The money is provided by several sources and does not need to be paid back.

The majority of scholarships base their eligibility on a student’s prior academic achievements and financial need for tuition help as established by their FAFSA. Eligibility is determined at the time the student is first admitted to an undergraduate program at Clarkson College. Normally, if the following requirements are satisfied, the student will continue to be eligible for the scholarship over subsequent academic years:

  • Undergraduate student.
  • Enrolled at least half-time (six credit hours).
  • Maintain the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards.
