Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University is a collaborative international university with over 90 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degree programs.
Its purpose is to provide excellence in student-centred instruction by utilizing innovative technology-enhanced language learning and customized academic skill development. Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Postgraduate Scholarships offer international students the opportunity to study master’s degree programs in China without taking IELTS, as degree programs do not require an IELTS certificate and you can get admission based on an English proficiency certificate from the university. The Scholarships are available to undertake Postgraduate level programs at Xian Jiaotong University. The scholarship covers tuition expenses for three years, which is presently equivalent to RMB 80,000 per year. In addition, the JITRI Institute of Deep Perception will offer the PhD applicant with a monthly living stipend of 3000-7000RMB.

Xi’An Jiaotong-Liverpool University Postgraduate Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

• Scholarship holders are required to undertake a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant role
• Scholarships are available for full-time study only
• The applicants must have applied for a PhD degree programme before applying for the scholarship.
• All PhD degree courses and subjects offered at the university are eligible to apply for.
• The candidate should have an IELTS score of 6.5 or above if the first language is not English.

Xi’An Jiaotong-Liverpool University Postgraduate Scholarships Application Procedure

• Applicants are required to register as a PhD degree students at the university.
• Applicants can locate the application process and email their application to limin.yu@xjtlu.edu.cn or nuaalbj@163.com
• The applicants must submit the following documents;

1. Two reference letters with company/university letterhead
2. CV
3. Personal statement outlining your interest in the position
4. Proof of English language proficiency (an IELTS score of 6.5 or above)
5. Verified school transcripts in both Chinese and English (for international students, only the English version is required)
6. Verified certificates of education qualifications in both Chinese and English (for international students, only the English version is required)
7. A PDF copy of the Master’s Degree dissertation (or an equivalent writing sample) and examiners reports are available

Xi’An Jiaotong-Liverpool University Postgraduate Scholarships Application Deadline;

There will be two application rounds for each academic year:

• First round- applications received by 17:00 CST (UTC+8) on October 15th will be assessed in the first round, with successful scholarship winners revealed in December.
• Applications received by 17:00 CST (UTC+8) on April 15th will be considered in the second round, and the scholarship winners who are chosen will be notified in July.
