Provided below are detailed important dates and deadlines for URI Winter J-Term, Spring, and Summer sessions;

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES ON URI ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR WINTER J-TERM 2023/2024;

Winter J-Term Pre-registration begins Monday, Oct. 31, 2022.
Monday, Jan 2, 2023, is New Year’s Day Observance. classes meet on this day but offices are closed. Therefore classes begin on this day for Winter J Term,2023.
The last day to Add a class or Drop with a 100% refund is Monday, Jan 2, 2023.
The final day to Drop a class with a 50% refund is Tuesday, Jan 3, 2023.
Martin Luther King Jr.Day is on Monday, Jan 16, 2023. There will be no classes.
Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, is the last day of classes.
Final grades are due in e-Campus before the 1st day of Spring classes on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023.

IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES ON URI CALENDAR FOR SPRING 2023/2024;

Advising Day is on Jan. 20, 2023, then classes begin on Jan 23, 2023.
E-Campus Open Add Period starts on Jan. 23-Jan. 29,2023.
E-Campus Permission Number Late Add Period is from Jan. 30-Feb. 5,2023.
The last day to add the Pass/Fail Option is Feb. 5, 2023.
Courses dropped on or after Feb. 14, 2023, will have a “W” for Withdrawal recorded on the academic record or transcript.
Feb. 20, 2023, is President’s Day; therefore offices will be opened but there will be no classes.
The final day for students to DROP courses in e-Campus is March 6, 2023.
Mid-semester is on March 8, 2023.
Spring Break starts from March 11-19, 2023. Classes do not meet yet offices are open.
Freshmen Mid Term Grades and Mid Term Surveys are due in e-Campus on March 21, 2023.
The last day to CHANGE from the Pass/Fail Option is March 24, 2023, and the final day of classes is May 1, 2023.
The reading day is from May 2-May3,2023 then the final examination begins from May 4-5 and May 8-10,2023.
Final grades are due in e-Campus on May 16, 2023.
The commencement Ceremony for graduates is on May 20, 2023, and that for undergraduates is on May 21, 2023.

The DROP Period with 70% Adjustment of Fees begins from May 24-May 28,2023 and the DROP Period with 50% Adjustment of Fees begins May 29-May 30,2023.
Memorial Day is Celebrated on May 29, 2023. Holiday, and No Classes.

Jan. 29-Feb. 4,2024 is the e-Campus Permission Number Late Add Period.
The last day to add the Pass/Fail Option is on Feb. 4, 2024.
Courses dropped on or Feb. 13, 2024, will have a “W” for Withdrawal recorded on the academic record (transcript).
