Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego County Scholarship
The Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego County, Inc. offers scholarship awards to students currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing. The Scholarship Award is being offered to students pursuing Undergraduate (Associate’s or Bachelor’s), Graduate (Master’s and Doctoral) and LVN-RN Step-up programs.
Philippine Nurses of San Diego County Scholarship Application Criteria
- Applicant Must complete the Scholarship Application
- Applicant Must be a first–time recipient of an award from PNASD
- Applicant must be enrolled or have been accepted into an accredited nursing
- Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25
- Applicant Must provide two letters of recommendation– one from a faculty in the nursing program where the student is enrolled and one from an employer or a person who has known the applicant for over 5 years (excludes relatives).
- Applicant must Must be a resident of Imperial County, North County, or San Diego County of California.
- Applicant Must have 20 hours of community involvement. Provide proof of volunteer service and hours
- 300–word essay
- Applicant Must be a current active member of PNASD for at least 3 months at the time of application.
- The applicant must be present to collect the Scholarship Award Certificate at the 2022 PNASD Induction of Officers, Scholarship Awards, and Nurse Excellence Awards.
Philippine Nurses Ass. of San Diego County Scholarship Application Procedure

- Complete and submit the application form
- Submit a copy of your transcript or a letter of acceptance into the program
- Submit 2 Letters of Recommendation
- Verification of community involvement letter
- Submit an Essay (300 words) on the topic of “The Future of Nursing Workforce: Practice Readiness of New Nurses During the Pandemic.”
- All applicants will be notified of the results by May 28, 2023
- The completed application must be received at the exact deadline of May 22, 2023.
- The applicant will be contacted via email after the process of selection is completed.
