myVCU Portal: How to Access Virginia Commonwealth University Portal 2023
Students, teachers, and staff at Virginia Commonwealth University can access the web-based information portal known as the “myVCU portal” through their personal accounts. The portal offers a variety of tools that make it simpler and quicker to locate online services at VCU. Users can examine a snapshot of certain content within the portal itself, such as library information and Blackboard courses, in addition to accessing other websites. Please review the details regarding the myVCU Portal 2023 below.
Logging Into myVCU Portal
- Go to my.vcu.edu.
- Enter your VCU eID on the login screen.
- Enter your password.
- Access your myVCU dashboard by clicking the blue “Login” button after that.
About VCU eID
- An alphanumeric string of characters makes up your eID. Your eID is not the same as your employee or student ID (also known as your V-number, vID, or Banner number).
- Access to VCU services including myVCU Portal, VCU Mail, Blackboard, library resources, VCU eServices, VCU SafeNet, and other central and departmental apps need a VCU eID and a matching eID password.
- The goal of the VCU eID is to offer all VCU affiliates quick, single sign-on access to the information they require over the web with verified security.
- You will require 2 of the 3 pieces of information to prove your identity in order to obtain your eID account:
- Birthdate
- VNumber
- VCUCard Number.
- Your eID will be activated and a new password will be generated in the IAM system via eID Account Claim.
- The VNumber is another name for the Banner ID. The 16-digit number on your actual VCUCard is the VCUCard number. If you work with the VCU Health System, you might not have a VNumber; in that case, use the 16-digit number on your badge.
Resetting Your eID Password
- Go to the page marked “Forgot password.”
- Enter your eID and tick the box to confirm that you agree to the terms and conditions.
- Choose whether you want the PIN sent to your cell phone as an SMS, through email, or both.
- The system will confirm and notify you of the recipient of your PIN. Click Close to continue.
- Check your personal email or SMS on your phone.
- A 6-digit PIN should have been sent to you by SMS, email (from eIDManager@vcu.edu), or both.
- After entering your PIN, click “Validate.”
- You will be alerted if you input an invalid PIN. If not, you’ll move on to the following screen to reset your password.
- Click Reset Password after entering your new eID password.
