CSUN Portal or myNorthridge is the official web portal for California State University, Northridge. Currently, the CSUN Portal is the new portal for admitted and current students, faculty and staff of California State University, Northridge. The CSUN Portal is designed to provide a wealth of campus resources and services in one central location to students, faculty and staff of the University.

CSUN Portal serves as the home for all your California State University, Northridge (CSUN) services and tools. CSUN Portal is built to operate on the same platform used for the CSUN Mobile App to allow deeper integrations with the CSUN services used by students, faculty and staff regularly. CSUN students can sign in to access numerous applications, resources and services such as email.

All details and step-by-step guides on how to get access to CSUN Portal and operate or utilise most of its resources and applications. Students accessing the CSUN Portal will be required to login first with their CSUN User ID and Password. New students must first of fore activate their CSUN account first before they can log in to their CSUN Portal platform for access.

How to Activate Your CSUN Portal Account

Once you have applied to California State University, you will receive an “Activate Your CSUN Account” email from Admissions and Records sent to the address you provided in your online application.

1. Navigate to the email address you provided in your online application and search for the “Activate CSUN user ID and Password” email from Admissions and Records after you submitted your application.
2. Now go to the CSUN Login page at https://auth.csun.edu.
3. Enter your User ID.
4. Enter your password. Enter the password provided in your email address.
5. Follow the subsequent instructions to activate your user ID and password.

Once your account is activated you can proceed to log in with your User ID and Password.

How to Login to CSUN Portal

1. Navigate to the CSUN Portal Login page at https://auth.csun.edu on your web browser.
2. Enter your User ID
3. Enter your Password
4. Click on “Login” to access your CSUN dashboard.

Current students who have forgotten their User ID or password should click on “Forgot My ID or “Forgot My Password” to find their User ID or reset their password respectively on the CSUN Portal Login page.

How to Find Your User ID

1. Navigate to the CSUN Portal Login page at https://auth.csun.edu on your web browser.
2. Click on “Forgot My User ID”
3. The “Forgot User ID” page will appear. You will be required to enter some information which includes your birthdate, first name, last name, 9-digit CSUN ID and CSUN Email address.
4. Enter the appropriate information.
5. Click on “Search” to find your User ID.

How to Reset and Change your Password

1. Navigate to the CSUN Portal Login page at https://auth.csun.edu on your web browser.
2. Click on “Forgot My Password”
3. The “Forgot/Reset My Password” page will appear. Enter your birthdate and either your CSUN user ID or 9-digit CSUN ID Number or CSUN email.
4. Click on “Next”.
5. Select how you would like a temporary code to be sent to you as your password for logging in to CSUN Portal.
6. Login to CSUN Portal with your User ID and temporary code.
7. You will then be prompted to change your password.
8. Enter your User ID and your temporary code as your current password in their respective fields.
9. Enter your New Password and reenter it again.
10. Click on “Submit New Password”. Your password will be changed.
