myCourses is the Learning Management System for McGill University. At McGill University, myCourses is used by most courses in a hybrid or blended manner, as a complement to classroom-based instruction and an alternative to expensive course packs and textbooks. The myCourses is used in over 1500 courses per term by thousands of students. myCourses provides users with a web-based training environment in which instructors can create and upload course files, and organize class discussions, collaborative group activities, and online office hours. myCourses is most often used by instructors to allocate course materials, quizzes, assignments and grades, and feedback. Below is a step-by-step guide to assist you to access McGill’s Learning Management System (myCourses). To access myCourses, you first be able to log into your myCourses account. You can log into your myCourses account through the myCourses website using a web browser or through McGill’s mobile app. Also, there is a mobile interface for myCourses that you can access from a tablet or smartphone.
How to Log into myCourses with a Web Browser
- Go to the myCourses website: https://mcgill.ca/mycourses on your web browser. You can access the myCourses login page at https://mycourses2.mcgill.ca/ and skip step 2.
- Click on “Log in to myCourses”.
- Students, instructors, and staff you log in by clicking on the “McGill” link. External users should click on the “Guest” link to log in.
- Enter your McGill Username and McGill password.
- Click on “Sign in” to log in.
How to Log into myCourses on your Mobile Device
myCourses or McGill Learning Management System is mobile-friendly. With your mobile device, you can easily view Content, access your Grades, and post discussion messages. You can access using the mobile interface of myCourses or the McGill app.
How to Log into myCourses using the Mobile Interface
- Go to http://myCourses2.mcgill.ca using a web browser on your mobile device.
- Click on”McGill”.
- Enter your McGill Username and McGill Password.
- Click on “Login”.
The mobile version has the exact functionality as the Desktop version. Scroll down, below your courses to view announcements and other widgets that are available on the Desktop version.
How to Log into myCourses using the McGill Mobile App
The McGill App is the official campus app for current, new, and prospective McGill University students. The McGill App puts McGill services at your fingertips and enables you to connect with your classmates and friends. You can access your McGill Learning Management System or myCourses through the McGill APP. The McGill App is available in Google Play Store or App Store. Download and install the McGill app from the App Store or Google Play Store now to have access to myCourses.
- Once you have downloaded the McGill app, install and open it.
- Select “Getting Started” the first time you access the app. If you have already done this step select Login.
- Enter your McGill Username and McGill Password.
- Click on “Sign in”. Accept the terms and conditions applicable to the app.
- Click on myCourses within the McGill mobile application. Opening the McGill Learning Management System within the app provides you with all the same content as when accessing myCourses within a browser.
