The University of Toronto’s Lester B. Overview of the Scholarships
The University of Toronto annually awards excellent international students the coveted and competitive Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships. Lester B. Pearson, a former Canadian prime minister and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, promoted global collaboration and understanding, and these scholarships bear his name.
By giving them the chance to continue their undergraduate education at one of Canada’s best universities, the scholarships hope to draw students with great academic records and leadership potential. The scholarship is exclusively valid for first-year undergraduate programmes at the University of Toronto.

Application Opening And Closing Date
Applications are currently opened. Deadline is January 15, 2024.
Required Documents
Documents required to apply for this scholarship include academic transcripts, a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and proof of English language proficiency, and ensure that all necessary documents are submitted on time.
How To Apply
To apply, you must:
1. Obtain a nomination from your institution. For our programme, which will start here in September, high schools that have not been contacted or validated are asked to submit an application.
2. Submit your application for admission by the required deadlines to the University of Toronto in order to start your studies in September 2024.
3. You can submit your online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application after the school has received your nomination and you have applied to the school.
4. When you are successfully nominated by your school, you will be sent a private connection to the scholarship application.
Bursary Application
The Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year is fully funded and for one to apply, you must submit proof of financial need such as bank statements.

Eligibility Criteria
If you want to be considered for the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be:
a non-Canadian who needs a study permit, or an international student;
2. presently in your last year of high school or will have graduated no sooner than June 2023
3. enrolling at the University of Toronto in September 2024 to begin your studies (students currently enrolled in post-secondary programmes are ineligible, as are those enrolled in programmes that begin in January 2024).
