James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship Program

James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship Program was created on the legacy of Dr James McKinley Freemont, Sr. (1942 – 2013) to outstanding students of graduating high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students. The James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship program awards $10,000 in scholarships to qualified recipients. James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship Program seeks to motivate students in their academics by providing them with financial assistance. Qualified awardees are chosen from a nationwide pool of candidates by James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship and will become Freemont Scholars.

Graduating high school seniors Application Requirement;

• Applicant must complete high school in the spring of 2023
• Applicant must Be a United States Citizen
• Applicants must Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Applicant must have a minimum SAT score of 1150 or ACT score of 21
• Applicant must Major in the sciences with the intention of pursuing that discipline as a career
• Applicant must Submit transcript and two letters of recommendation and a complete essay

Undergraduate Application requirements;

• Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited historically black college and universities for the Fall 2022/Spring 2023 academic year
• Applicant must be a United States Citizen
• Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Applicant must be Pursuing an undergraduate degree in the sciences
• Applicant must Submit transcript and two letters of recommendation and complete an Essay

Graduate students Application Requirements;

• Applicant must be accepted into a graduate school by July 1, 2023
• Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
• Applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
• Applicant must be Pursuing a graduate degree in the health and medical sciences
• All transcripts and two letters of recommendation must be submitted
• Complete an essay

• Submit transcript and two letters of recommendation
• Attach your Complete essay
• The application must be submitted before FEBRUARY 4, 2023.
