Graduate and Professional Scholarship Program – Maryland 2023-2024

The Professional and Graduate Scholarship Program 2023-2024 is open to students pursuing graduate and professional degrees in dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and veterinary medicine. Students enrolled in any of these universities; the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Pharmacy, or Social Work; The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine; or certain Maryland institutions offering a master’s degree in nursing or social work or a first professional degree in pharmacy stand a chance to apply. Recipients of Professional and Graduate Scholarship may receive an award for a maximum of eight semesters if they remain enrolled in an eligible program, maintain the satisfactory academic progress standards of your institution, file a FAFSA each year, and
demonstrate the need for the scholarship. The scholarship program gives A minimum award of about $1,000 per year and the maximum award is $5,000 per year.

  • Applicants must be Degree-seeking graduates and professional students.
  • Applicant must be a resident of Maryland
  • Applicant must demonstrate the need for financial aid.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student, either part-time or full-time
  • Applicant must be currently enrolled at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, Johns Hopkins University, Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, or an approved Maryland school offering a master’s degree in nursing or social work, or a first professional degree in pharmacy.

  • Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Submit a complete application form
  • Contact the financial aid office of the institution to file for the scholarship
  • The application must be submitted between October 1 and March 1, 2023
