The London School of Economics and Political Science is now taking applications for this scholarship program for activists combating inequality. From all around the world, decision-makers, academics, practitioners, activists, campaigners, journalists, and artists are encouraged to take part in the program, which is accessible until January 12. This fully-funded fellowship is looking for mid-career social change leaders with 7 to 10 years of experience combating inequality. Previous candidates have experience in a wide range of areas, such as labor rights, community organizing, arts and culture, peacebuilding and transitional justice, sustainability and environmental activism, tax justice, economic alternatives, women’s, ethnic, and disability rights, education rights, public policy, housing and urban inequalities, and tax justice.

Degree Level
  • Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity programme 2024 is available to undertake Masters level programs at London School of Economics.
  • There are two tracks in our fellowship: Residential and Non-Residential. Members of the Residential track undertake the MSc in Inequalities and Social Science at LSE during their active fellowship year.
  • The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity programme is supported by The Atlantic Philanthropies via a £64 million, 20-year grant aimed at building a catalytic community of 400 fellows.
  •  It is one of seven Atlantic Fellowships worldwide working to create a global community to advance fairer, healthier and more inclusive societies.

Application Requirements

If you want to apply for the 2024 Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity program, ensure that you:

  • are leaders for social change in the middle of their careers who have been fighting inequality for 7 to 10 years.
  • are previous candidates have worked in a variety of fields, including labor rights, community organizing, the arts and culture, peace-building and transitional justice, sustainability and environmental activism, tax justice, economic alternatives, women’s, ethnic, and disability rights, education rights, public policy, housing and urban inequalities, and tax justice.
  • are prepared to enroll in a London master’s program.
  • meet the admission requirements for the appropriate master’s program.
