ARC of Washington Trust Fund Research Awards 2023-2024
The Arc of Washington Trust Fund 2023-2024 was established in 1950 to fund research in mental and other developmental disorders which has expanded to include annual undergraduate scholarships and expanded its focus in relation to training professionals to provide service and advocacy to the I/DD community. The Arc of Washington Trust Fund support early research focused on identifying issues affecting the I/DD community and projects to benefit that community. The Trust fund aids in preparing communities to accept and value those with I/DD and in finding better service systems to help individuals and their families.
The Arch of Washington Trust Fund provides Research grants capped at $25,000 per year and overhead/institutional costs capped at 10% of the total budget and also provides undergraduate and graduate scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students who have a history of working with people with disabilities and who are studying for a career working with people with I/DD.
ARC of Washington Trust Fund Research Awards Application Requirement 2023/24
- A Letter of Intent is required. The letter must consist of the investigator(s), institutions involved, and a page summary of the research and its potential impact.
- The letter should be submitted by August 3, 2023, for Trust Fund Board consideration.
- Fill out and submit the application form provided on the fund website.
- All required documents must be emailed by August 3, 2023.
- Considered applicants will have to submit a full proposal for the grant by Sept. 1st, and due October 1, 2023.
- References, letters of support, bio sketches of investigators, line item budget and budget justification are required.
- Chosen applicants will be prompted to submission of the final and full proposal on September 1, 2023.
