American Association of Occupational Health Nurses Professional Development Scholarships 2023-2024
The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses scholarship was created to enable occupational and environmental health professionals to improve worker health and safety by preventing illness and injury in the workplace. The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses scholarship is awarded to support ongoing professional education, leadership development and grants for research initiatives.
The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses scholarship 2023/2024 seeks to;
- Define scope and set standards for professional and environmental health practitioners.
- Sets Standards of professional conduct for occupational and environmental nurses as outlined in the AAOHN Code of Ethics.
- Help promote the health and safety of work and workplace communities.
- The association provides continuing learning opportunities for nurses and professionals in the areas of occupational and environmental health offered by the AAOHN Academy.
- Helps in Promoting the profession by promoting and facilitating research.
- The association Advocate for occupational and environmental health nursing in business, hospitals, government and other professional areas.
- The association seeks to address important issues to labour and environmental practices.
The American Association of Occupational Health Nurses scholarship 2023-2024 grants ;
- $3,000 for Academic Study
- $2,500 each – two awards for the UPS Foundation
- $1,500 each – two awards for Continuing Education at Moore Medical
- $1,000 each – two awards for Georgia State Chapter
American Association of Occupational Health Nurses Professional Development Scholarships Application Requirement 2023/2024;
- The application deadline is January 1, 2023.
- Applicant must have a baccalaureate degree in nursing and experience in community health, ambulatory care, critical care or emergency nursing.
- Applicant must have Certification in occupational and environmental health nursing.
- Candidates must be employed in the field of occupational and environmental health nursing.
- Applicant must have a postgraduate certificate in the Nursing field.

- Submit an essay explaining goals and objectives and why you stand a chance of winning the award.
