- Make your way back to “Student Sign-in” and enter the temporary password to log in.
- Your “Student Homepage” is the first/main page you see after signing in.
- Your “Student Homepage” contains a box with the heading “Manage Classes” where you may view the classes you have signed up for.
The HCC Portal’s Resources
- For online courses and courses with an online component, use “Eagle Online Canvas.” Use your HCC email address (follow the example on the log-in page) and HCC password to sign in to “Eagle Online Canvas.” Give it 30 to 60 minutes to update if you just changed your password. HCC Canvas won’t be accessible to you until after you enroll in or register for your first class.
- Eagle Online Canvas and HCC Email have a similar log-in process. Read your syllabus for information on how to contact your instructor when taking an online course because instructors may only answer to HCC emails.
- The curriculum for your instructor, their contact details, and any resources they offer are all available on the learning web. Simply enter your instructor’s complete name in the search bar to find them.
- Locate a Tutor: For all HCC courses, including HCC Dual Credit courses, tutoring services are provided at no cost. You can use tutoring services in person or online. Other tutoring services: Tutoring resources are available at https://www.hccs.edu/. You can check out books from the library and use all of its resources as an HCC student, including acquiring your HCC student ID card.
- If you can’t log into your HCC accounts or if you’ve forgotten your password, change it. For this, you must have your security questions answered; the first page is advised.
-
The Student Sign-In box can be found on your “Student Homepage,” under the Financial Account title box: Residency and balances information is indicated, and you can print a class/fee receipt (student account per term) from this page as well. Inform the HCC High School Liaison if your residence is not in your district.
- Library: You have full access to the HCC Library as an HCC student, including the ability to obtain a HCC student ID card and check out books.
- The Egalitarian: Houston Community College’s student newspaper. It was created and developed by students to encourage the free flow of knowledge. The newspaper’s team consistently produces work of the highest caliber. Regardless of their major, all presently enrolled HCC students are welcome to join The Egalitarian at any of the HCC campuses.
