VandalMail: How to Access University of Idaho Student Email System

Upon registration as a student, a VandalMail email account will be given. For communications pertaining to ISI courses, all University of Idaho students must either activate and use their VandalMail email account, or set up email forwarding from VandalMail to another email. For all the information you need to access University of Idaho email, see the section below.

Logging Into VandalMail Using The VandalMail Outlook

To log into your VandalMail account, follow the steps below:

• Open webpages.uidaho.edu.
• put your username here (that is your NetID).
• To sign in, enter your password.
• Now you have access to your VandalMail emails.

Logging Into VandalMail Using The VandalWeb

• Go to VandalWeb using your web browser.
• Type your NetID.
• Type your password.
• There are two possible credential combinations for this:

1. A capital V-style Vandal number and a six-character PIN
2. An Active Directory user name and password

• Kindly note that you cannot use both for login.

Resetting Your VandalMail Password

Kindly follow the following steps in resetting your VandalMail password successfully:

• Visit help.uidaho.edu by going there.
• “Click here to reset your password” text should be clicked.
• Fill out the CAPTCHA, then click the next button.
• Enter one of the following into the text box:
• Account Number (NetID)
• Number of Students
•  Vandal Number
• Contact Email
• To find your account, click the lookup button.
• Click “send code” to send a verification code to the phone number or email address of the contact you have chosen.
• Enter the verification code into the “Enter Verification Code” text box once it has been emailed to the selected contact.
• Click Continue.
• Answer the security questions by typing them in ( The answers are case sensitive and longer than 5 characters).
• To access the page where you can reset your account’s password, click Continue.
