UMKC Pathway: Helpful Guide to Access UMKC Portal

At the University of Missouri-Kansas City, students primarily utilize UMKC Pathway to sign up for classes, view grades, and change contact information, among other tasks. If you’ve never used the UMKC student portal before, the instructions below will help you sign in, add and remove courses, update your password, and activate your account. Please refer to the information about the UMKC Portal below.

Logging Into UMKC

Access the UMKC Portal by tapping the link: umkc.umsystem.edu.
Enter the username you use.
Enter your password here.
Tap the “Sign in” button to log in.

Activating Your UMKC Account

The New User Activation button should be clicked.
To submit, type your UMKC username.
To get an authentication code, choose either the email or phone option.
Type the received code.
Start the registration procedure for new users.
Add a favorite phone number or numbers as well as an outside email address.
Select Save after providing your answers to the five security questions and one optional help desk verification question.
Enter your UMKC username to begin setting up a new user password.
Choose the option to get an authentication code, then type it in.
Change your password, then click “Submit.”
When you are sent to the Secure Authentication Toolkit webpage, the procedure is finished.

Resetting UMKC Password

Type your university username and select “Submit.”
A delivery method for your passcode delivery is presented to you as an option.
Choose your chosen method of delivery, then wait for the passcode to arrive.
The passcode must be entered on your web browser when requested.
Enter the passcode there and press the submit button.
Your USERID is given to you on the password setting screen as confirmation.
Enter a new password, being sure to abide by the rules. Select “Submit.”
If everything goes well, the following message will appear in your browser window: Change of password was successful.
Your password has changed, and you will be notified by email.
