• Class schedules on march 6,2023 and summer 2023 priority registration for eligible continuing and returning students will be opened on April 3, 2023.
• According to UIUC Academic Calendar, registration opens for summer 2023 and begins for new and all students on April 20, 2023.
• Summer 2023 tuition and fee charges first appear on student accounts on May 8, 2023
• May 14, 2023, is the deadline to cancel POT S1 and POT SF registration and to cancel all summer classes via student self-care.
• The first day of instruction for POT S1 and POT SF classes is May 15, 2023
• May 9, 2023, is the deadline date for Undergraduates to add a POT S1 course, Graduates to add a POT S1 course, and Deadline for ALL students to drop POT S1 course for a tuition refund if registered for any other summer POT course via the student self-service.
• According to UIUC Academic Calendar, May 26, 2023, is the deadline for undergraduates to drop POT S1 course without a grade of W, the POT SF deadline to drop a course for a refund of tuition and fee, the Deadline for undergraduates to add a POT SF course also Deadline for an undergraduate to elect credit/no credit or to change credit/no credit option to regular grade in a POT S1 course and Deadline for an undergraduate to file an intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in a POT S1 course.
• May 29, 2023, is a Memorial Day which is a Holiday . There will be no classes.
• The deadline for graduates to drop POT S1 course without a grade of W and to elect credit/no credit or to change the credit/no credit option to a regular grade in a POT S1 course is June 2, 2023.
• June 9, 2023, is the last day of instruction for POT S1, and the deadline to cancel POT S2 and POT 1 registration via Student Self-Service is June 11, 2023.
• first day of instruction for POT S2 and POT S2A and June 16, 2023, is the deadline for undergraduates and graduates to add POT S2A.
• June 19, 2023, is Juneteenth, a campus holiday .there will be no classes.
• June 20, 2023, is the Deadline to suppress directory information
• June 21, 2023, deadline for undergraduates and graduates of POT S2 or POT 1 course and POT S2 and POT 1 deadline to drop a course for a refund of tuition and fees if reducing course enrollment to a lower number of credit hours.
• June 23, 2023, the deadline for undergraduates and graduates to drop POT S2A course without a grade of W, Undergraduates to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade for a POT SF or POT S2A course, and the Deadline for ALL students to drop a POT SF course without grade W.
•  June 28,2023Summer 2023 tuition and fee payment due if not enrolled in a payment plan.
• June 30, 2023, Deadline for graduates to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to a regular grade basis in POT S2A course and to drop POT S2A course without a grade of W.
• July 4, 2023, Independence Day, is observed therefore there will be no classes.
• Courses begin for POT S2B on July 10, 2023.
• The deadline for undergraduates to add the POT S2B course, Deadline for GRAD to add the POT S2B course via Student Self-Service is July 14, 2023.
• July 21, 2023, Deadline for undergraduates to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT S2B course, undergraduates to file an intent to use campus grade replacement option in POT S2B course, for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT S2 and POT 1 course, Deadline for GRAD to drop a POT S2, POT SF or POT 1 course through the Graduate College without a grade of W, and Deadline for undergraduates to drop POT S2B course via Student Self-Service without a grade of W.
• July 28, 2023, Deadline for GRAD to elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to a regular grade basis in the POT S2B course and to drop a POT S2B course through the Graduate College without a grade of W
• Summer 2023 grade entry opens for instructors to submit grades on July 31, 2023.
• August 3, 2023, Last day of instruction for POTs S2, S2B, SF, and 1, and Noon – reading day for POT S2, S2B, SF and 1
• The final examination period for POTs S2, S2B, SF, and 1 starts on August 4- August 5, 2023.
• August TBD, Deadline for faculty/instructors to submit final grades for Summer 2023 courses, and Final grades for Summer 2023 will be available to students via Student Self-Service the following day.

UIUC Important Dates and Deadlines for Fall 2023;

• Class schedules on March 6, 2023, and Fall 2023 priority registration for eligible continuing and returning students will be opened on April 3, 2023.
• According to UIUC Academic Calendar, registration opens for Fall 2023 and begins for new and all students on April 20, 2023.
• Open registration begins for Fall 2023 for all except non-degree students on July 17, 2023.
• Fall advanced registration verification is available from NSC via Student Self-Service under Registration & Records/Enrollment Verification on July 26, 2023.
• University housing Move-in is on August 13-August 20,2023.
• Fall 2023 tuition and fee charges first appear on student accounts on August 14, 2023.
• The deadline to cancel registration or drop all classes is on August 20, 2023.
• The first day of instruction for Fall semester and POT A courses and students to register for first classes without being charged a penalty fee is August 21, 2023.
• late registration begins on August 22, 2023.
• August 25, 2023, is the deadline date for all students to add a POT A course, drop POT A (1st 8 weeks) course for a refund if reducing the assessment range, and to suppress directory information.
• Official fall enrollment information transmitted to NSC for processing to NSLDS to provide loan deferment if applicable will be available on September 2, 2023.
• September 4,2023 ,Labor Day. there will be no classes.
• September 15, 2023, Deadline for undergraduates to drop the POT A course without a grade of W, elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT A course, file intent to use Campus Grade Replacement option in POT A course and for Graduates to drop POT A course via Student Self-Service.
• Full payment due for Fall 2023 charges unless on a payment plan is on September 28, 2023.
• The deadline for GRAD to drop a POT A course without a grade of W and to elect credit/no credit for a POT A course or to change credit/no credit to a regular grade is September 29, 2023.
• The faculty deadline for reporting midterm grades for freshmen and the Final exam schedule will be available in October.
• october 13,2023, Deadline for undergraduates to drop semester course without a grade of W, remove incomplete grade from the previous semester to prevent change to F grade, elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in a semester course, file intent to use Campus Grade Replacement option in a semester course, withdraw from Fall semester (drop all courses) without a grade of W and deadline for LAW students to drop semester course without a grade of W and also deadline for Graduates to drop semester course.
• Early registration for Spring 2024 priority registration and POT B courses begins on October 16, 2023.
• October 20, 2023, is the deadline for undergraduates to add POT B course and the deadline for graduates to add POT B course also all students are to drop POT B course for a refund if reducing the assessment range.
• The deadline to withdraw from the University if enrolled in POT 1 and receive the minimum 40% pro-rata refund is on October 27, 2023.
• Priority registration for Spring 2024 begins on October 30, 2023, and 2023 General Election Day is on November 8,2023-There will be no classes.
• November 10, 2023, deadline for undergraduates to drop POT B course without a grade of W, elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in POT B course, file intent to use the Campus Grade Replacement option in POT B course, Deadline for graduates to drop POT B course, drop semester course without a grade of W, elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to regular grade basis in a semester course, and last day for graduate students to withdraw from term without a grade of W.
• Spring 2024 opens registration begins for all students on November 16, 2023, and Fall break continues from November 18-November 26, 2023.
• The deadline for graduates to drop POT B course without a grade of W and elect credit/no credit or change credit/no credit to a regular grade basis for the POT B course is December 1, 2023.
• The last day of instruction is on December 6, 2023.
• December 7, 2023, is reading day and the last day for graduate students to add/drop the POT B course and semester course without petitioning Graduate College.
• The final examination period begins on December 8- December 15, 2023.
• Degree conferral is on December 18, 2023, Faculty deadline for reporting grades is also in December(the exact date will be communicated)
• Note; Transcripts are on hold for Fall 2023 grades and degrees and will be released in January.

UIUC Important Dates and Deadlines for Spring 2024;

• Martin Luther King Jr. Day is on Monday, January 15, 2023(no classes)
• Instruction for the spring semester of 2024 begins on January 16 Tuesday, 2023.
• Spring Break Begins begins on Saturday, March 9, 2023.
• Instruction Resumes on Monday, March 18, 2023, and end on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
• Thursday, May 2, 2024, is the Reading Day for the Spring semester of 2024.
• Final Examinations Begin on Friday, May 3, 2023, and end on Friday, May 10, 2023.
• UIUC Spring 2024 commencement is on May 10, 2024.

UIUC Important Dates and Deadlines for Summer Session I 2024;

• Summer semester 2024 instructions begin on Monday, May 13, 2024.
• Monday, May 27 is Memorial Day. There will no classes.
• The final class and final examination are on May 28, 2024, and end on June 8, 2024.

UIUC Important Dates and Deadlines for Summer Session II 2024;

• Summer semester 2024 instructions begin on Monday, June 10, 2024.
• Wednesday, June 19, 2024, is Juneteenth Day.No classes are held.
• Thursday, July 4, 2024, is Independence Day. No classes will be held.
• Monday, May 27, 2024, is Memorial Day. There will no classes.
• The second 4-weeks of instruction begin on Monday, July 8, 2023.
• Instruction ends and the reading day for Summer Session II is on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
• The final examination for Summer session II 2024 begins on Friday, August 2, 2024, and ends on August 3, 2024.

UIUC Important Dates and Deadlines For Winter 2023/2024 ;

• Instructions begin for the winter session on Monday, December 18, 2024.
• Monday, December 25, 2024, is Christmas Day. There will be no classes.
• Monday, January 1, 2024, is New Year’s Day. there will be no classes.
• Final examinations for Winter 2023-2024 are Friday, January 12, 2024.
