• UBA registration opens for Degree-seeking graduate and undergraduate students and Non-degree-seeking graduate students begin on Apr 17 – Aug 20, 2023.
• Non-degree-seeking undergraduate students’ registration begins on Jul 31- Aug 20, 2023.
• Classes Begin on Aug 21, 2023.
• Registration After Classes Begins on Aug 21 – Aug 28, 2023.
• Aug 28, 2023, is the last day to Drop/Add Without paying full Tuition & Fees and the last day to Submit Graduate & Undergraduate Applications for degrees.
• Sep. 4, 2023, is Labor Day Holiday.
• Sep 5, 2023, is the Last Day for full-term withdrawal 75% refund; Must withdraw from all courses.
• Sept 18, 2023, is the Last Day for full-term withdrawal 50% refund; Must withdraw from all courses.
• Oct 3, 2023, is the Last Day for full-term withdrawal 25% refund;(Must withdraw from all courses.
• Oct 13, 2023, is the Last Day to Withdraw from a course with a grade of “W”.
• Assigned Time Registration for Spring 2022 is from Nov 6 – Nov 17, 2023.
• Fall 2023 Thanksgiving Break starts on Nov 20 – Nov 26, 2023.
• Dec 1, 2023, is the Last Day to withdraw for the term; Must withdraw from all courses and the Last Day of class.
• Undergraduate Reading Days begin on Dec 2 – 3, 2023.
• Final Exams begin on Dec 4 – Dec 8, 2023.
• Commencement for Graduate Students comes on, on Dec 8, 2023, and that of Undergraduate Students follows on Dec 9, 2023.
• Grades are Due by midnight on Dec 11, 2023, and become available online on Dec 13, 2023.

• Registration opens for Non-degree-seeking undergraduate students on Dec 12 – Jan 8, 2023.
• UAB Spring 2023 classes begin on Jan 9, 2023.
• Registration After Classes Begins on Jan 9 – 17, 2023.
• Jan 16, 2023, is Martin Luther King’s Holiday.
• Jan 17, 2023, is the Last Day to Drop/Add Without paying full Tuition & Fees and the Last Day to Submit Graduate & Undergraduate Applications for degrees.
• Jan 23, 2023, is the last day to Withdraw with a 75% refund.
• Feb 3, 2023, is the Last Day to Withdraw with a 50% refund.
• Failure to pay the first instalment of the Blazer Flex Plan on Feb 13, 2023, will result in the assessment of a $50 late fee.
• Feb 17, 2023, is the Last Day to Withdraw with a 25% refund.
• Failure to pay the first instalment of the Blazer Flex Plan on Mar 13, 2023, will result in the assessment of a $50 late fee
• Mar 14, 2023, is the Last Day to Drop a course with a Grade of “W”
• UAB Spring 2023 break begins on Mar 13 – 19, 2023.
• Apr 21, 2023, is the Last Day to withdraw for the term (all courses) and the Last Day of Class.
• Undergraduate Reading Days fall on Apr 22 – 23, 2023.
• UAB Spring 2023 Final Exams begin on Apr 24 – Apr 28, 2023.
• UAB Graduate commencement is Apr.28, 2023, and Undergraduate Commencement is Apr 29, 2023.
