Canvas is a web-based learning management system (LMS) designed to assist educational institutions to handle their online learning activities, instructors or teachers to create and present online study materials, and students to engage in courses and receive feedback about their skill development and learning achievement. Rutgers Canvas LMS is an instructional platform designed to administer allocate and support courses. At Rutgers, the use of Canvas is limited to specific academic and/or instructional purposes in order to provide an optimal instructional experience and adhere to the terms of our vendor agreements. Though Rutgers Canvas is a web-based software, it can be accessed on a mobile device through the Canvas mobile app.
Rutgers Canvas LMS is accessible to all active faculty, staff and students as well as non-credit students and guests. To access the Rutger Canvas LMS, you must log in to Rutgers Canvas using their Rutgers NetID and Email Logins. Active faculty, staff and students log in to Rutgers Canvas using their Rutgers NetID whiles non-credit students and guests must log in using their provided Email Login. You can access the Rutgers Canvas through the Rutgers Canvas website or the Canvas mobile App.

With the Canvas student app, you can access SFU Canvas LMS. The Canvas student app is available in Google Play Store for Android devices and in App Store for IOS users. With the Canvas students app, you can log in with your school URL or QR code. ‘

To log in with the QR code, click on the account link and then the QR code. For the QR code, Rutgers staff must enable the QR code feature before you can use it. QR code can be scanned from the login page of the myRutgers Portal. To view the QR code:
