MyUCDavis: Helpful Guide to Access UC Davis Portal 2023
MyUCDavis is the student, faculty and staff portal for the University of California (UC Davis). MyUCDavis aims to centralize many of the services and tools required at the University of California into one place for easy access. A single login to UC Davis affiliates access to information, tools, and resources appropriate to their academic objectives and job roles. MyUCDavis: Helpful Guide to Access UC Davis Portal 2023
MyUCDavis delivers single-source access to numerous campus services and resources for students, faculty and staff. MyUCDavis is accessible and available 24/7 to students, faculty and staff. This service is automatically open to anyone who is actively affiliated with UC Davis and has a campus computing account, with some services for the general public as well. To access MyUCDavis, you must first log in. Below are step-by-step guide to assist you log into MyUCDavis:
How to Log into MyUCDavis
- Go to the MyUCDavis Login page at my.ucdavis.edu on your web browser to get started.
- Click on the yellow ‘Sign In” button on the top-left-side of your screen.
- The Login page (Central Authentication Service (CAS)) will appear.
- On the login page, enter your UC Davis Login ID.
- Enter your Kerberos Passphrase.
- Click on the “LOGIN” button to access your UC Davis Portal or MyUCDavis.
Students who have forgotten their password can change it by using their challenge questions. Students must be able to answer all of their challenge questions before they can reset their Kerberos Passphrase. Challenge questions were set by you when you created your account, and they are not randomly assigned.
How to Reset your UC Davis Kerberos Passphrase
- Navigate to the Computing Account Page at https://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu.
- Click on “Change your passphrase”.
- Enter your authentication information. It must correspond to what is on file with payroll (faculty/staff) or the registrar (students).
- Click on “Submit Information”.
- Enter your Kerberos LoginID and select Passphrase Challenge Questions for your authorisation process.
- Make sure the checkbox for Change Passphrase For All Services is ticked and click on “Continue”.
- Your challenge questions will appear. You will be required to answer them all.
- Click on “Continue” to proceed when done answering.
- Enter your new Kerberos Passphrase into the New Passphrase field.
- Re-enter your new Kerberos Passphrase in the Confirm Passphrase field.
- Click on “Continue”.
- Review the confirmation page, then click End Session.
You will receive an email to your official @ucdavis.edu usually within a few minutes whether you were successful or not. Students without UC Davis computing account cannot access the MyUCDavis. If you don’t have a UC Davis Computing Account, then follow the steps below to create one.
How to Create your UC Davis Computing Account
- Navigate to the Computing Account Page at https://computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu, then click on “Get Your UC Davis Computing Account.
- Enter your details which entails your full name, student ID# and date of birth.
- Click on “Submit Information”.
- You will be provided with an Acceptable Use Policy screen. Kindly read it and select to abide by the policy.
- Click “Continue” to proceed.
- You start by creating your email address.
- Click continue if you are done with your email address.
- Proceed to create your LoginID which you will use as your username for campus service.
- Proceed to create your Kerberos Passphrase when you are done creating your LoginID.
- Configure your account and passphrase. Click the “Register my account” button to successfully create your UC Davis computing account.
