myBGSU:How to Access BGSU Student Portal 2023

The student portal for Bowling Green State University students is called MyBGSU. A BGSU account with access to MyBGSU, BGSU email, Canvas, OneDrive file storage, and various other University services is given to newly accepted BGSU students, professors, and employees. For the majority of BGSU services, it also acts as your user ID and login information. As long as you are a student or employee at BGSU, you will continue to have access to your account. Your BGSU account status will be modified in accordance with the Account Status Timeline once you leave the university. Logging Into myBGSU Portal

• Go to my.bgsu.edu and log in.
• This will direct you to the page for single sign-on.
• Type your BGSU username here.
• Type in the password for your BGSU account.
• Click Login to access your myBGSU after that.

Logging Into Your BGSU Email Account

• Go to outlook.com/bgsu.edu and sign in.
• Your BGSU login should be typed into the entry box.
• Enter your account password after that.
• Then, to access your BGSU email, click Login.

Changing Your BGSU Email Display Name

• Access the MyBGSU website.
• Quick Links are located at the upper right of the gateway; mouse over them.
• Click the link to Update Personal Information.
• Go to the next screen and click the Names tab.
• Choosing Add New Name.
• By choosing edit, you may change your preferred name if you already have one.
• Select Preferred under Name Type.
• Enter your chosen name exactly as you want it to appear.
• In the area labeled “Date new name will go into effect,” provide a date.
• Select Save.
• Your account will take around an hour to update through the system once you have created your chosen name.

Adding BGSU Email Account to iOS Mail

• Open Settings.
• Opt for Passwords & Accounts.
• Choose Add Account.
• Choose Exchange.
• Enter your BGSU email address and click Next on the next screen.
• Choose Sign In.
• Your BGSU email address and password must be entered.
• To sign in, choose Sign In and do Duo Two Factor Authentication.
• Select Remember me for 30 days to prevent having to authenticate frequently.
• You can sync only the objects you choose.
• Select Save.
• The account setup has finished.
