MGH Institute Of Health Professions Acceptance Requirements
- IHP School of Nursing Accelerated BSN Program Admission Requirements:
- A finished bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 from a US college or university
- Finishing prerequisite courses with a 2.0 GPA or higher
- One prerequisite may still need to be completed by applicants at the time of application. Before enrolling, applicants must satisfy all prerequisites. Before the program begins, official transcripts must be turned in.
- Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), with a Proficient or better total score required
- Transcripts from high school or secondary school are needed at the time of application. Final transcripts proving graduation or a GED will be needed of all accepted students.
- Any secondary education verification that is not based in the United States must be certified by an authorized agency. These four organizations have been approved: World Education Services, the Center for Educational Documentation
- Verification for any non-U.S. based secondary education must be validated by an approved agency. Four approved agencies include: Center for Educational Documentation, World Education Services, North American Educational Group, or Educational Credential Evaluators
- Letters of recommendation, a personal statement, diversity essay and resume are also required.
- All admitted students must provide evidence of adherence to the IHP Immunization and Certification Requirements, Physical Examination and Health History Documentation, OSHA and HIPAA training by matriculation into the program.
- IHP School of Nursing Direct-Entry Nursing (DEN) Program Admission Requirements:
- A completed bachelor’s degree from a U. S. college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.7.
- Completion of pre-requisite courses with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Applicants may have one pre-requisite outstanding at the time of application. Applicants must have all prerequisites completed prior to enrollment. Official transcripts must be submitted prior to the start of the program.
- Completion of Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with minimum scores of:
– 135 on Verbal Assessment
– 135 on Quantitative Assessment
– 3.5 on Analytical Writing - GRE may be waived, with approval, if the applicant has previously completed a Master’s Degree
- High school or secondary school transcript are required at time of application. All admitted students will be required to submit final transcripts documenting graduation or GED.
