Madeline Pickett Cogswell Nursing Scholarship

Students accepted or enrolled in an approved nursing school are given the Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship to assist them to finance their education. Candidates must be DAR members, DAR members’ ancestors, or otherwise qualified for DAR membership. The application must be accompanied by either a transcript attesting to the applicant’s enrollment in the nursing program or a letter of acceptance into the program. A one-page CV and at least two, but not more than four, recommendations must also be supplied. Students who have been admitted or enrolled in a recognized nursing school will each receive a grant of $2,500. Three students who have been admitted or are already enrolled in an authorized nursing school and are in need of financial assistance will each receive a one-time $2,500 prize. The scholarship program covers, tuition expenses, monthly stipends, airline tickets, health insurance, accommodation, books, research allowances, conference attendance fees etc.

Madeline Pickett Cogswell Nursing Scholarship Eligibility Requirement

• Must attend a university, a four-year college or a two-year college
• must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.
• Applicant must be a legal citizen of the US.
• Restricted to students studying Nursing
• Must be affiliated with Daughters of the American Revolution
• A letter of acceptance into the nursing program
• All applicants must be citizens of the United States
• Submit the application before January 31, 2023

• Attach Your school transcripts
• Submit two Recommendations letters Or References
• Submit a Letter of acceptance into the Nursing program
• Submit proof of US. citizenship
• Submit applications before January 31, 2023
