Lee Essie and Charlie McMillan Jr. Medical Scholarship

Lee Essie and Charlie McMillan Jr. Medical Scholarship administer a variety of scholarship programs for high school, community college, university and vocational stu­dents. Students from Saginaw County who are pursuing a medical vocation, studying cosmetology, or have at least one year of practical experience or instruction in instrumental music and have a minimum 2.5 GPA are eligible for the Scholarship program. The Scholarship provides different criteria for the scholarship namely; Active/Inactive Military and Military Veteran Scholarship, Cosmetology Schloraship, Medical scholarship, and Music scholarship, each criterion has its application requirements and procedure for interested students. This scholarship program has awarded more than $8 million in scholarships.

Lee Essie and Charlie McMillan Jr. Scholarship Application Requirement

• Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing Medical and pre-med programs
• Applicant must be pursuing Pharmacy and pre-pharmacy programs
• Applicant must be a Nursing and nurse practitioner program student
• Applicant must be pursuing a Physician assistant programs
• Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Applicant must be in a state of financial need.
• Applications must be submitted using our online scholarship application by February 10, 2023.

Lee Essie and Charlie McMillan Jr. Scholarship Application Procedure

• Complete your online application form via https://www.saginawfoundation.org/site/scholarships/
• Submit two letters of recommendation from unrelated individuals
• Submit a copy of your most recent school transcript to upload with your application.
• Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Submit your essay. Copying and pasting your essay from another program may result in formatting mistakes that are incompatible with our online application.
• Include any required special attachments or membership verification information.
• Answer all questions on the application that are highlighted in pink.
• The application must be submitted online before February 10, 2023.
