Kentucky Nursing Incentive Scholarship Fund
Kentucky Nursing Incentive scholarships Fund are only available to Kentucky residents who are enrolled in an eligible pre-licensure nursing school or graduate nursing program. The Kentucky Board of Nursing will pick the candidate who is the most qualified for a scholarship through this fund and give $3,000 each year of attendance. The grants cover any expenses incurred by the student while attending classes, such as lodging and resources. The amount of each scholarship is $1,500 per semester, maximum of $3,000 per year, The funds are thus directly awarded to the recipients and not to their programs of nursing and scholarship recipients must complete one year of full-time work as nurses in Kentucky for each year of a study funded
Kentucky Nursing Incentive Scholarship Application Requirements
- Applicant must be a Kentucky resident
- currently attending a nursing program either in or out of the state of Kentuck/students currently completing the core nursing courses
- Applicant must demonstrate the need for financial aid.
- Applicant must maintain the academic requirements and required GPA
- 15 credit hours of the published nursing program is required per academic year from Pre-licensure applicants
- 9 credit hours of published nursing program requirements per academic year from Graduates.
- LPNs that are seeking an RN degree, and RNs that are seeking a BSN degree, are eligible to apply
Kentucky Nursing Incentive Scholarship Application Procedure
- All applications are being accepted between January 1 and June 8, 2023.
- Complete and submit your online application form via the website; https://kbn.ky.gov/Education/Pages/nursing-incentive-scholarship-fund.aspx
- Submit all official/unofficial transcripts
- Attach an official financial need application forms
- Submit a personal statement
- The application must be submitted before the deadline of June 8, 2023.
