How to Change my Dawson Portal Network Password

The gateway for Dawson Colleges students and staff is called My Dawson. It serves as a portal to already-existing Web platforms and provides fresh communication features: MIO to communicate with staff and students Communities on Intranet your can access your network home and shared disks using my files Student surveys using Lea, Moodle, Dawson Omnivox, and First Class. How to Modify My Password for the Dawson Portal

To change your password, simply follow the steps below.

Step 1:

Use the guidelines below to create a new network password.

  • have a minimum of 8 characters.
  • must contain at least 1 character from each of the three categories listed below:
  • A through Z in uppercase
  • A through Z in lowercase
  • The numbers 0 to 9.
  • Must not include your username, first name, or last name
  • Must not be one of the last five passwords used.

Step 2:

Option 1

  • Access the My Dawson Portal online.
  • Find Personal Profile at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
  • Next click Modify Password and enter your new password in accordance with Step 1’s guidelines first.

Option 2

  • Access the Omnivox App.
  • At the bottom of the application, tap the Services button.
  • Locate and click the Omnivox web version.
  • Find Personal Profile at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
  • Next, click Modify Password.
  • Following the guidelines in Step 1, enter your old password first, then your new one.

Option 3

  • Access the My Dawson Portal.
  • Go to the home page and select Students.
  • Click the link ‘Forgot your password?’
  • Put the following in:
  • Date of birth and the permanent 7-digit student number
  • Verify that you are not a robot.
  • Please get in touch with the Registrar’s Office if you don’t know what your permanent code is.
  • To confirm your identity, you must respond to security questions. If you are unable to respond to these inquiries, select Option 4.
  • Enter your current password first, then your new one in accordance with Step 1’s guidelines.

Option 4

  • Change your My Dawson Portal password by contacting the Computer Support HelpDesk.
  • Please present your Dawson student ID while identifying yourself.

Step 3:

  • Please allow our systems to update your account for 10 minutes before checking to see if the password reset was successful.
  • Please log into Office 365 using your Dawson email address and newly established password.

Step 4:

  • Please use this checklist once you’ve confirmed your password change to make sure you can still access our systems with your new network password.
