Helpful Guide to LaTrobe LMS, StudentOnLine, and Email

La Trobe University’s Learning Management System (LMS) is Moodle. At La Trobe University, the learning management system is referred to as the “LMS” or as “Moodle”. Moodle is a learning platform invented to supply educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to develop personalised learning environments. The LMS is an online learning management environment which allows students or learners at La Trobe University to find and access their learning materials as well as course-related activities from anywhere with Internet access.

StudentOnLine serves as a personal gateway to the La Trobe University Student Information System. The StudentOnLine allows you to view and change your enrolment and personal details. With the StudentOnLine, you can:

• Get a ‘Statement of Account’
• Change your enrolment
• Get an unofficial transcript and
• Make payments towards your fees.

The student Email account is the account used for all La Trobe University communication. We recommended that you check your student email account regularly for important information.

Helpful Guide to LaTrobe LMS, StudentOnLine, and Email

Provided here is a helpful guide to assist students to access their LaTrobe LMS, StudentOnLine and Email accounts. To have access to your La Trobe Online systems (LMS, StudentOnLine and Email account), you must first login. To log into La Trobe LMS, StudentOnLine and Email, use your La Trobe student’s username and ‘password’.

How to Login to La Trobe LMS

1. On your web browser, navigate or visit the La Trobe LMS Login page at http://lms.latrobe.edu.au/
2. On the La Trobe LMS Login page, click on the “Log in” button on the top left of the Login Page.
3. The La Trobe University “Sign in” page will appear.
4. Enter your student username. Your Username for signing in is StudentID@students.ltu.edu.au.
5. Click on next and enter your Password.
6. Click on “Sign in” to access your La Trobe LMS dashboard.

The La Trobe LMS can be accessed on a mobile device. To access the LMS on a mobile device, we urge you to use the Moodle app. The Moodle app is available on AppStore (for iOS) and PlayStore (for Android). To login with your mobile device, kindly download and install the Moodle app and follow the steps to log into La Trobe LMS via the Moodle app.

How to Login to La Trobe LMS via Moodle app

1. Open the install Moodle app on your mobile device
2. Enter the La Trobe LMS URL (lms.latrobe.edu.au) in the text field or search for La Trobe University.
3. Click on La Trobe University from the dropdown menu.
4. Click on the “LOG IN” button
5. Enter your student username. Your Username for signing in is StudentID@students.ltu.edu.au.
6. Click on next and enter your Password.
7. Click on “Sign in” to access your La Trobe LMS dashboard

How to Access your Student Email Account

Access your student email with Office 365. Your student email account uses a different username than the other La Trobe systems. Use StudentID@students.latrobe.edu.au, to log in.

1. Go to your La Trobe student email Login page at https://www.latrobe.edu.au/students/support/it/email
2. Click on “Log in to Office 365”
3. Enter your La Trobe username (01234567@students.ltu.edu.au) and password.
4. Click Sign in.

How to Login to StudentOnLine

1. Go to the StudentOnLine Login page at https://www.latrobe.edu.au/students/enrolment/studentonline.
2. Enter your student username. Your Username for signing in is StudentID@students.ltu.edu.au.
3. Click on next and enter your Password.
4. Click on “Sign in” to access your La Trobe LMS dashboard
