Hal and Jo Cohen Graduate Nursing Faculty Scholarship 2023-2024

The Hal and Joe Cohen Graduate School of Nursing Scholarship 2023-2024 provides funding for Cohen scholars to pursue postgraduate degrees such as MS, MSN, DNP, PhD, and EdD, as well as postmaster education necessary to prepare them for nursing education. Complete a core training course that includes a certificate. Faculty of Nursing or Clinical Instructor for Nursing Majors in Maryland. Maryland institutions with nursing degrees may select a limited number of new Cohen Scholars for each grade. Funds are provided to higher education institutions for distribution to their chosen recipients of the Cohen Scholars. The total award amount is equivalent to all tuition and required fees for courses in the approved nursing program at Maryland public and independent colleges and universities. The grants are according to the rewarded according to student’s plan of study to cover two to four years, the scholarship recipients are required to complete the annual NSP II Faculty Award Questionnaire each fall for five years to assist in program evaluation. The Hal and Joe Cohen Graduate school of Nursing Scholarships are not awarded and the tuition and fee payments may be cancelled if students do not Complete 9 semester hours of education coursework, Complete all requirements of the mentoring plan and do not complete a monthly mentoring session.

Hal and Jo Cohen Graduate Nursing Faculty Scholarship Application Requirement 2023/2024

• Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Applicant must be in a state of financial need.
• Applicants must complete the 9 semester hours of education coursework
• A full-time Maryland nurse faculty member with 5 years or more of full-time teaching service in a Maryland nursing program qualifies.
• Applicant must be at the Graduate School or Doctorate level of education
• Applicant must major in Nursing
• Applicant must be a resident of Maryland, United States
• Applicant must be enrolled in any of the accredited Universities or colleges in Maryland, United States
• The applications submission deadline is Sat, Apr 1st 2023

• Complete the Cohen Scholars Nomination and Mentoring Form by providing the correct information via the website: https://nursesupport.org/nurse-support-program-ii/grants/statewide-initiatives/-cohen-scholars/
• Submit official transcripts from all institutions attended for any registered nursing programs and graduate nursing programs
• Applications must be submitted before the approved deadline is Sat, Apr 1st 2023.
