GVSU Academic Calendar 2023/2024: Important Dates & Deadlines consists of dates of when academic semesters begin and break, registration deadlines, Drop/Add Refund Schedule, application dates, and other important dates and deadlines.GVSU Academic calendars provide important enrollment-related semester dates, past, present, and future semester dates, and deadlines for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as new applicants. This is to prompt students, staff, nonstaff members, and new applicants about what will happen in the future.

Below are some important dates & Deadlines for GVSU Winter and Spring academic semesters;

GVSU Winter semester Academic Calendar 2023/2024;

Classes begin on January 9th, 2023.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day recess on January 16th, 2023.
Spring break begins from march 5th to march 12th,2023.
Classes end on the 22nd of April 2023.
The examination begins on April 24th to 29th, 2023.
Commencement begins on the 28th of April and 29th of April,2023.
Semester end on 29th April 2023.
Grades are due on 2nd May 2023.

GVSU Spring/Summer Academic Calendar Important Dates & Deadlines 2023/2024;

Classes begin the first 6 and 12 weeks of May. which begins on the 8th of May, 2023.
memorial day recess is on 29th June 2023.
Classes end first 6 weeks which is on June 19, 2023.
The examination is in the first 6 weeks, which is on 20th-21th June 2023.
On June 26th, 2023 classes begin the second 6 weeks.
Independence day is on the 4th of July, 2023.
Classes end second 6 and 12 weeks, which is on August 4th,2023.
Examinations second 6 and 12 weeks which fall August 7th-8th,2023.
The session ends on August 8, 2023.
