About Cornell NetID Account
  • When used in conjunction with a password, a Cornell NetID gives users safe access to non-public services and information at Cornell.
  • Members of the Cornell community, including students, teachers, staff, alumni, and affiliates, are given NetIDs.
  • Each NetID is made up of a string of alphanumeric characters that begins with the person’s name and ends with a number. CIT offers the Cornell community NetIDs as a free service.
  • Access to private resources and information is made possible by the NetID when used in conjunction with a password. For instance, in order to access grades and other information in Cornell Student Center, each student must sign in using their NetID and password.
  • Additionally, it functions as the distinctive component of a Cornell email address of the format NetID@cornell.edu.
  • Your name’s initials as they appear in the university database were combined with a number to produce your NetID.
  • The Student Information System of the University Registrar is the database that is used if you are a student (SIS).

  • Click Change your Password on the Manage Your NetID page.
  • Use your NetID and password to log in. You must authenticate as normal if you have Two-Step Login enabled.
