FAU Canvas is an easy-to-use as well as cloud-based learning management system (LMS) that hooks up all the various digital tools and resources instructors use into one simple space to enable easy access. The FAU Canvas equips students and instructors with countless tools to make learning and teaching easier by combining correctly with over hundreds of apps. The MYFAU is the official app and online portal of Florida Altantic University accessible to the whole FAU population.

The Florida Altantic University (FAU) provides training courses in form of videos to assist both instructors and students on how to use and access information on the FAU canvas. With the FAU Canvas, students are able to:

Below is a guide to accessing how to log in to your FAU Canvas and MYFAU.

How to Login to FAU Canvas and MYFAU

To log in to the FAU Canvas account, you must have your FAU NetID and password. At Florida Atlantic University, all students as well as staffs have a NetID and a password. The NetID permits students to access most FAU applications and services since FAU uses the single sign for most applications. Your NetID is the account name you use to log in to most of the systems you will use daily at the university. Your FAU NetID is part of your official FAU email address (e.g. FAUNetID@fau.edu).

How to Login to FAU Canvas

1. Go to canvas.fau.edu on your browser.
2. The login page will pop up. Enter your NetID and password. In case you have forgotten your password, click on forgotten password and follow the steps carefully to reset it.
3. Click on “LOGIN” to log in.

Students can log in through the Canvas students App

With the Canvas student app, you can log in to FAU Canvas. The Canvas student app is available in Google Play Store for Android devices and in App Store for IOS users. With the Canvas students app, you can log in with your school URL or QR code. ‘

Logging in with URL

1. Open the Canvas student app and enter FAU Canvas URL. In case you don’t know the FAU Canvas URL code, you can search the school name with the search bar.
2. Click on the login button and enter your FAU NetID and password.
3. Click on “LOGIN”.

Logging in with QR Code

To log in with the QR code, click on the account link and then the QR code. For the QR code, an FAU staff must enable the QR code feature before you can use it. QR code can be scanned from the login page of the MYFAU app. To view the QR code:

1. Login to your FAU Canvas account.
2. Click on “QR code for Mobile” in the account
3. Click on the proceed button and your code will display.

The QR code is the same as your password and should be kept confidential. It is recommended that you use the Canvas Mobile App for iOS 8.0+ and Android 4.03+

Students with FAU email addresses can go to https://canvas.fau.edu to log in.

How to Login to MYFAU

You can log in to MYFAU using the online portal which is accessible on any web browser or through the MYFAU app. The MYFAU app is available in Google Play Store for Android devices and in App Store for IOS users.

1. Visit MyFAU website on your browser.
2. The login page will pop up. Enter your NetID and password. In case you have forgotten your password, click on forgotten password and follow the steps carefully to reset it.
3. Click on “LOGIN” to log in.

Logging in with MYFAU App

1. Open the Canvas student app and enter FAU Canvas URL. In case you don’t know the FAU Canvas URL code, you can search for the school name with the search bar.
2. Click on the login button and enter your FAU NetID and password.
3. Click on “LOGIN”.

Students can have access to their FAU Canvas on the MYFAU app. With this feature, students can check their grades, post to discussion forums, and browse through all their courses.
