FAU Academic Calendar 2023-2024: Important Dates & Deadlines consists of well-organised dates that govern the institution. FAU academic year is divided into three semesters; fall, spring and summer which is also in sessions. Each semester is divided into three sessions; term 1 is the entire semester, term 2 is the first half of the semester and term 3 is the second half of the semester. The university also offers three intersession mini-terms which are;

The 6-week fall intersession,
The 3-week spring intersession
The 7-week summer intersession.

Non-Degree Registration Opens on Dec 12 2022
FAU Spring 2023 classes begin on Dec 17 2022
Dec 19, 2022, is the Last day to Drop/Add and the Last day to pay without late fees is Dec 20 2022.
Non-Degree Registration Opens for all Spring sessions on Jan 3 2023.
Classes End for Intersession on Jan 6 2023 and begin for Full Term, First Half and First 5-weeks on Jan 7 2023.
Final Grades are Due on Jan 9, 2023.
Jan 13 2023 is the Last Day to Add/Drop For all terms except Intersession.
Jan 16 2023 is M.L. King, Jr. Day.The university is closed.
60+ Audit Registration begins and the last day to pay fees without late fees is Jan 17 2023.
Jan 27 2023 is the Last Day to Submit Applications for degrees for all sessions.
Jan 27, 2023, is the last day to Drop with a “W” for First 5-week Session.
Feb 6 2023 is the Last day to withdraw with a 25% tuition adjustment for the Full Term.
Feb 10, 2023, is the last day to Drop with a “W” for the First Half session and classes end on this date for the First 5-week session.
Classes begin on Feb 11, 2023, for the Second 5-week session.
First, 5-week final grades are due on Feb 13, 2023.

Spring 2023 Full Term and Second 5-Weeks begins on March 4, 2023, and ends on March 10, 2023.
Spring 2023 First half session grades are due on March 13, 2023.
March 17, 2023, is the last day to add/drop for Second Half and third 5-week term.
March 20, 2023, is the last day to pay without a late fee for Second Half Term.
Mar 24, 2023, is the last day to Drop with a “W” for the Full Term and classes end for the second 5-weeks.
Final grades are due on March 27, 2023.
Reading day begins for all sessions on April 25-26, 2023.
The final examination begins on April 27, 2023.
The final examination and classes end on May 3, 2023.
commencement is on May 4, 2023.
The spring 2023 semester ends on May 5, 2023.
Spring 2023 final Grades are due on May 8, 2023.

Summer 2023 registration opens on March 27, 2023.
Mon degree registration opens on May 1, 2023.
Classes begin on May 6, 2023.
May 7, 2023, is the last day to drop/add.
May 8, 2023, is the last day to drop with “W”.
May 10, 2023, is the last day to pay without late fees.
Classes begin on May 13, 2023, for Full term and Half term sessions.
May 19, 2023, is the last day to add/ drop for Full term and Half term sessions.
60+ Audit Registration begins on May 22, 2023, for Full term, Half term sessions and Second Half.

July 4, 2023, is Independence Day.
Full Term and Second Half’s last day-to-day to drop with “W” is July 21, 2023.
Classes end on August 4, 2023.
Commencement is on August 8, 2023.
The summer 2023 semester ends for all sessions on August 8, 2023
Final grades are due on Aust 9, 2023.
