EKU Direct: How to Access EKU Student Portal 2023
Your access to campus services at Eastern Kentucky University is provided via EKU Direct. You can use these services to sign up for classes, activate your EKU email account, get a parking permit, and many other things. As a new student at Eastern Kentucky University for the 2023–2024 academic year, we’ll walk you through how to access the EKU student portal, EKU email, register for classes, and set up your account in this post.
Logging Into EKU Direct
- Go to it.eku.edu/myEKU to access it.
- Select the option for “Current Students, Faculty, Staff, and New Employees.”
- Put your EKU ID number (no spaces or dashes).
- Enter the six-digit password you created.
About Your EKU ID Number
- Your login information for numerous online services, including entering into your email, Blackboard, EKU SECURE Wi-Fi, and library databases, is often your first name last name#.
- If you change your password, all those accounts will also have a new password.
- Your EKU ID serves as your EKU Direct User ID, and your PIN is a six-digit code.
- Go to the ‘Change My Password’ option on the mymail.eku.edu website to reset an email password that hasn’t yet expired.
- In order to update your email password once it has expired.
- If you know the answer to your security question, call the IT Service Desk at 859.622.3000 to reset your password.
Logging Into EKU myMail
- Enter it.eku.edu/mymail in your browser.
- Press the Login to myMail button.
- Type in your username
- Enter the password for your email.
Finding Email Addresses On EKU Direct
- To locate the email address of any classmate, lecturer, or employee at EKU, use the “Global Address List” feature.
- At the top of the screen, select People.
- On the left side of the screen, choose All Users.
- Enter the contact’s name into the Search People box.
- Information about the person you want to contact will show on the right once you click their name.
- You may send an email to someone by clicking on their email address.
Registering For Classes in EKU Direct
- access eku direct.
- Select Student Services & Financial Aid from the menu.
- Register by clicking on it.
- To OFFICIALLY confirm that you have officially registered, withdrawn, dropped, etc., choose Add/Drop Classes.
- Make sure there are no registration issues.
- Click Submit Term after selecting the term you want to sign up for.
- If your RAC number (referred to as an Alternate Pin here) is requested, enter it and choose Submit Pin.
- Only undergraduate registration requires the RAC.
- This six-digit number can only be obtained by meeting with your adviser.
- Consult your DegreeWorks audit if you are unsure about who your academic advisor is.
- Enter the CRN to add a class (Course Reference Number, which is a five digit number that specifies a class section). The online schedule book includes CRNs.
- After carefully checking your work after entering these figures, click Submit Changes.
- Look for registration mistakes. Check the standing of each class as well.
- You are NOT enrolled for the class if the status does not indicate that you are.
- The classes that you have signed up for are shown below any registration errors for those classes.
