Cunyfirst: How to Access Cuny First Portal 2023

CUNYfirst is the City University of New York’s student information, registration, and administrative system (CUNY). City University of New York Fully Integrated Resources and Services Tool is the name of the acronym. All students from Hunter, Queens College, Baruch, BMCC, Lehman College, John Jay, CUNY City Tech, and LaGuardia Community College use the university student portal, a CUNY-wide web-based system, to register for classes, pay bills, manage personal information, file for graduation, and more. How to access CNYFirst

to get to the CNY First Portal;

• Go to home.
• cunyfirst.cuny.edu.
• Enter the username you use for Cuny.
• Enter your password after that.
• In order to access your portal, click “Log In.”
• Logging out of your account is important.

How to make CUNYfirst your account

• Get there by going to the CUNYfirst Portal Login page.
• Click “New User” on the Login page.
• Enter the following information on the Account Activation page:
• First name and last name as they appear on the application you submitted
• Date of birth (‘D.O.B.’) in the format mm/dd/yyyy
• The last four digits of your Social Security Number in the ‘SS#’ field
• Click the box next to the words “I’m not a robot” and follow the CAPTCHA text prompts
• Confirm your email or enter a new email address.
• Receive an email with a unique account activation confirmation link.
• Click to confirm your email address and set your password.
• Set your password retrieval questions.

How to Reset Your CUNYfirst password

• Access the CUNYFirst portal login page by navigating there.
• The “Forgot Password” link is located beneath the login fields.
• Click “Continue” after entering your CUNY First username or your EMPLID.
• Click “Continue” after responding to the two security questions. There is no case distinction in the responses.
• New passwords must be entered in both fields before clicking “Continue”.
• Enter a new password in both fields then click “Continue”. The password criteria are as follows:
• Must be between 8 and 13 characters long\s Must contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter
• Must contain at least one number
• Must NOT be among your last 4 created passwords
• After resetting your password your CUNY First username and EMPLID will be displayed on the confirmation screen.
