CPRG India Social Sciences Research Grant
Applications are being accepted for the second round of the CPRG Social Sciences Research Grant by the Center of Policy Research and Governance (CPRG India) (CPRG-SSR Grant). The grant’s purpose is to assist young researchers and students working on relevant topics in the humanities and social sciences. Postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral researchers are all welcome to apply. Indian students from all Indian and international universities are eligible for the grant. The acquisition of original materials (including the reproduction of manuscripts), fieldwork, archival research, research support, and other academic endeavors are all eligible for funding. Grants for researchers and students at Indian and international universities might vary from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 1,000,000. All funds would be sent to a bank account in India. Eligibility
- Researchers or students must be enrolled in accredited institutions at the postgraduate level or higher and in good academic standing.
- Projects having a good chance of publication would be given preference.
- Those who have obtained primary grants from other sources and wish to use the CPRG-SSR award as a supplement will be given preference.
- Advanced degree holders will be given precedence when it comes to doctorate students.
- Preference will be given to master’s students who can show they have the capability to do more in-depth scholarly study.
Application Process
- Starting on September 15 and continuing until November 30 of 2022, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
- A study proposal, CV, writing sample, and budget estimate would make up the entire application package.
Application Guidelines
- The research proposal should be between two and three pages long (in 12-point font) and describe the project’s overall timeframe, methods, and academic impact. It ought to justify the use of resources as well.
- The CVs of all co-applicants should be uploaded as one PDF in the event of a joint application.
- Writing samples can only be published academic papers or book chapters. Co-authored articles are acceptable as a writing sample for applicants.
- If initial funding is obtained from other sources, a letter of award must be submitted.
- An example of a quotation for the acquisition of materials like manuscripts should be used.
