Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship 2023-2024

The Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship Fund was established on January 15, 2011, and is part of the Ocean Medical Center Foundation family of funds. The fund provides financial support to qualified Ocean Medical Center nurses and nursing students who wish to continue their formal schooling in the nursing field in the form of aid and gives one or more nursing scholarships to eligible applicants each September.

The Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship awards a $500 scholarship to Nurses to further their nursing education each year. The scholarship award is used to supplement tuition, fees, lab costs, books and educational supply expenses.

Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship Application Requirement 2023-2024

• Applicant must be an employee or nursing student at Ocean Medical Center.
• Applicant must be enrolled in an RN program, an upper division program (RN to BSN) or an advanced degree program (MSN, PhD) in nursing.
• All Ocean Medical Center nurses and nursing students from all OMC practice areas are qualified to apply.
• Applicants must be majoring in Nursing, Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research and Clinical Nursing, Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants.
• Barbara Forfar Nursing Scholarship application deadline is July 23, 2023.
• consideration will be given to applicants that have an interest in operating room practices, and technology and those nurses in the CARE program.
