A Learning Management System is a web-based software a web-based application employed to organize and disperse online materials used in coursework, assignments, and assessments; track and calculate grades; and promote communication among students and teachers. The OCC D2L  is used to provide online and hybrid courses, online learning materials, and activities for some face-to-face courses. OCC’s D2L Learning Management System (LMS) is also known as Brightspace by D2L. At Oakland Community College, all online degree and certificate programs are administered through the OCC D2L system, an easy-to-operate learning management system.

To successfully utilize OCC D2L, ensure you have the required supported browser and a reliable internet connection for the duration of the course. Mobile devices such as smartphones can be used to review course materials in OCC D2L, but for important activities such as quizzes, it is urged to use a desktop or laptop with a supported web browser and a reliable Internet connection. Some features may function differently or function with decreased functionality when using a supported mobile device. D2L also has a system checker to test if your device satisfies the necessary requirements to operate D2L Learning Management System.

How to Access OCC D2L Learning Management System

With the OCC D2L, you can access online course materials and activities, as well as cooperate with your instructors and other students from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. To access your OCC D2L learning management system, you must be able to log into your OCC D2L account or page. OCC D2L uses your MyOCC credentials to log you into the OCC learning management system. If you don’t remember your MyOCC username, then open the MyOCC login page and click on the “What’s my username?” link at the bottom of the page. 3. Enter your MyOCC username and password. If you do not recall your MyOCC password, click on the “Forgot your password? Reset it” link to reset it. In cases where you are not able to reset it, click on the ” Unable to reset your password?” link.
4. Click on “Log In” to access OCC D2L My Home page.

After you log into D2L, you’ll locate yourself on the OCC D2L Learning Management System My Home page. Located at the top of D2L’s My Home page is the Minibar. It has the tools to assist you to navigate the D2L system or search for your D2L courses, as well as edit your D2L profile, notifications, and account settings.
