The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Learning Management System (UIUC LMS) serves as your “home base” for online courses.
With the UIUC Moodle, you can have access to your schedule or timetable, assignments, course syllabus, discussion forums and grades. At the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the Moodle LMS is employed by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS); Applied Technologies for Learning in the Arts & Sciences (ATLAS) and managed by the ATLAS LMS Team. The ATLAS Learning Management Systems Team is a small group programmer committed to the support and customization of learning management tools used in LAS.

Provided here are simple but helpful tricks on how to login and access your courses on the University of Illinois LMS, Moodle UIUC. To have access to your courses or see a list of courses to which you have access, you must first log into the UIUC Moodle. You can log into your University of Illinois LMS with your NetID or Moodle-Only Login with your web browser on your desktop computer or mobile devices.
How to Log into the University of Illinois LMS (Moodle UIUC) with NetID
Your NetID is a name given to you that is unique. It serves as your login to many University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign computing and networking services and also determines your University email address, which is netid@illinois.edu.
- On your web browser, navigate or go to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Moodle Login page at http://learn.illinois.edu.
- Click on “NetID Login”
- In the pop-up window, Choose the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
- Click on “Select”.
- Enter your NetID.
- Enter your password.
- Click on “Login”.

How to Log into the University of Illinois LMS with Moodle-Only Login
This alternative is for guest access, and for those who do not have a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign email account. If you are not a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign student or faculty member, you should use this login option. Instructors who might employ this choice include those logging in with test student accounts, EITP users, MVCR users, and users with non-“illinois.edu” email addresses who had accounts created before September 2017.
- On your web browser, navigate or go to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Moodle Login page at http://learn.illinois.edu.
- Click on “Moodle-Only Login”.
- Enter your username.
- Enter your password.
- Click on “Log in”.
How to Change your Moodle-Only Login
You can change your password through the Learn@Illinois Moodle website.
- On your web browser, navigate or go to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Moodle Login page at http://learn.illinois.edu.
- Log in using your previous password following the steps above.
- In the upper right corner of your course homepage, click on your name to open a drop-down menu.
- Click on “Preferences”.
- Click on “Change password“.
- You will need to enter your current password and your new password twice.
- Click “Save changes”.
